..declares Aiyedatiwa Football Tournament opened in Okitipupa

The Aiyedatiwa Football Tournament was officially declared open by the Transition Chairman of Ikale West LCDA, Mrs. Funke Kumuyi, who urged participating teams to demonstrate commitment and seize the opportunity to showcase their skills. Representing the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area, Kumuyi also commended the officials, football enthusiasts, and organizers for putting together the event.

In her address, she charged the teams to adhere to the principles of sportsmanship, expressing hope that the tournament would foster unity across the local government areas.

Kumuyi also touched on the recent endorsement of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the November 16 governorship election by the Licensees of Okitipupa Oil Palm PLC. She described endorsement as a clear indication of the governor’s leadership qualities, noting that such support from influential individuals underscores Aiyedatiwa’s street credibility and cross-state popularity.

“People across Ondo State are endorsing him from every corner, and his growing popularity reassures us of victory on November 16. The backing of these prominent figures, especially in Okitipupa and the southern senatorial district, is a significant boost. We are confident that His Excellency will emerge victorious,” Kumuyi stated.
