The five victims of last week’s kidnapping in the Ose/Ifon area have regained their freedom.

They were found at Oyinbo Sanusi camp on Monday and are currently receiving treatment at the police medical facility in Owo.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, announced this in a press release on Monday.

According to her, the victims were discovered after police officers, led by the Area Commander of Owo, ACP Olufemi Awoyale, pursued the kidnappers into the bush where they had taken their captives.

Odunlami-Omisanya explained that the persistent search by the police forced the kidnappers to abandon their victims at Oyinbo Sanusi camp.

According to her, the victims are receiving medical attention and will be handed over to their families after being debriefed.

It should be recalled that the five individuals were kidnapped around the Ose/Owo area on July 18.
