Just as the world is set to celebrate the International women day, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, a Civil Rights Activist Michael Chidozie has murdered his wife in cold blood.

The Rivers State Police Image maker Grace Koko who confirmed his arrest said the suspect Michael Chidozie has been arrested, detained, and is currently being investigated by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly beating his thirty-two-year-old wife and mother of three children, Mrs. Ufuoma Chidozie to death on Tuesday night, March 5th, 2024 in Agip axis of Mile 4, PortHarcourt.

Some friends of Ufuoma Michael alleged that Mr Chidozie is in the habit of beating his wife daily without provocation.

Our source disclosed that after Mrs Ufuoma died as a result of injuries she sustained from the alleged physical assault by Mr Chidozie, the suspect fled after calling the brother of the deceased, to come to the house that there was an emergency.

We gathered that when the brother of the deceased came to his sister’s house, he saw the lifeless body of Mrs. Ufuoma, but did not meet the husband at home.

We further gathered that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning by Police personnel attached to Agip Police Division, Mile 4, PortHarcourt following credible intelligence.

The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command also confirmed that the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department(SCIID), PortHarcout for discreet investigation.

Meanwhile, the remains of Mrs Ufuoma have been deposited in the mortuary
