A death has been announced of Prof. Omotayo Olutoye, wife of the Alaani of Idoani in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
She was said to have bid the world goodbye on Saturday, July 22.
Meanwhile, the member representing Ose state constituency at the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Olatunji Oshati Maxima has condoled with the family of HRM Oba Dr. Maj. Gen. Olufemi Olutoye (Rtd) the Alani of Idoani kingdom over the demise of his Olori and Yeyeluwa of Idoani kingdom Prof Mrs Omotayo Olutoye.

According to Maxima Media Team, the lawmaker noted that mama had though departed at a ripe age but her departure will be greatly missed because she left at a time that her motherly advise and expertise in Yoruba cultures, norms and traditions are most needed as a long standing scholar of Yoruba linguistics.
Hon Oshati Olatunji, who is also the Balogun of Idoani land and member of the Alaani council of Chiefs, sympathised with the family and Kabiesi in particular, noting that losing one’s spouse of many decades can be very challenging but urged the royal highness to take solace in the fact that mama had lived a fulfilled life,as an accomplished scholar, a worthy Olori and successful mother with which many ‘firsts’ could be ascribed to her family.
As a first ever Professor of Yoruba linguistics in the world, married to the first Nigerian Army graduate and a mother of a world class surgeon who is the first surgeon in the world to have ever performed a surgical procedure on a foetus and then return same into the mother’s womb to birth after maturation coupled with mama’s selfless service to humanity and to God’s vineyard. Mama is indeed fulfilled to the glory of God.
Hon. Oshati also sympathised with the entire Idoani community and call for unity and solidarity with the Kabiyesi èven as the family plans out programs that will lead to a befitting burial for the late scholar and matriarch.
He prayed to God to rest the soul of our dear mother, our 6 our pride in perfect peace.
