Being the Eid-el-Fitri MESSAGE TO MUSLIM FAITHFULS BY HON. LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA, ACTING GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE.
On behalf of Ondo State government and the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, who is currently on his annual leave, I greet all our Muslim faithfuls on this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration which signifies the successful completion of Ramadan fast.
Indeed, the event encapsulates Allah’s Commandment on the faithfuls to get closer to him and to be in total denial, moderation, relate in holiness, love, peace and personal sacrifice with others.
Let us imbibe the essence of Ramadan, the Eid el Fitri celebration and the values therein as guide for our daily living.
I therefore urge all Muslims to pray for our nation, Nigeria, Ondo State and all our leaders to remain focus in the discharge of their duties for the overall interest of the citizens. Most importantly, I call for religious tolerance to engender peaceful co-existence, unity and prosperous Nigeria.
Our government is committed to our REDEEMED agenda which consistently defines the governance and developmental strategies in our dear state.
Our believe in being our brothers’ keepers require that we live in unity and oneness. We should use this moment of celebration of Eid-el- Fitri, to renew our hope in a Nigeria where peace and justice shall continue to rein.
Finally, I enjoin all our citizens to uphold the culture of care, share, love and kindness.
Pray for the peace, security and economic prosperity of our dear state.
