The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command, Dr. Hammed Abodunrin was decorated today as the Security Living ICON of the Year.
Presenting the award, Comrade Seun Akinde Chairman/CEO of the New Nigeria News, publisher of TNNTV Channels Abuja, said,“in the course of our work of balance reportage, we have come across many people that are shinning examples in their field of endeavor, there are many Nigerians who do beyond call of duty in their respective chosen carriers and professions and Dr. Hammed Abodunrin, falls into the category and deserve to be recognized, decorated and appreciated accordingly.”
Speaking further, he said Dr. Hammed Abodunrin was picked as an awardee of today among many security personnel in Nigeria because he is a pacesetter, development-oriented leader, professional security expert, idea developer, advocate of justice, an innovator with vision and focus and an administrator per excellence.
In his words, ‘we are proud of your active, intelligence and selfless service to humanity thereby providing peace and tranquility within the State by boosting the orientation of the personnel across the State. This is the more reason we need to support the Federal Government in strengthening the Corps and speak against any move to merge the NSCDC to any other organization.’ he said.
In his response, Dr. Hammed Abodunrin appreciated the Board of Directors of the New Nigeria News publishers of TNNTV channels for the thoughtfulness in conferring on him the National Media Achievers Award of Excellence Performance. He appreciated the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni for the opportunity to serve. He also dedicated the award to his lieutenants who have supported him to so achieve. He said the award will encourage him to do more.
Dr. Abodunrin in his closing remarks encouraged the students of Federal University of Oye Ekiti who are in the Command for their industrial attachment and also guests at the conferment ceremony to be selfless and dedicated to their life goals.
