BE CIVIL IN YOUR OPERATIONS, FAYEMI WARNS OPERATIVES

Ekiti State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Mr. John Olatunde Fayemi has warned armed bearers in the Command to remain civil in their operations especially when dealing with people .

Fayemi who said this during a lecture organised by Forensic and Behavioural Unit of the Command titled” Approved Policy on Forensic, Behavioural and Psychological Assessment Evaluation for Arms Bearers” at NSCDC State Headquarters in Ado Ekiti where he expressed his happiness about the cordial working relationship between the Corps and the people which he adjudged progressive and fantastic.

The State Commandant who noted that arm bearers should be physically and mentally fit to carry out the job if not, the unexpected may happen that can result into public outcry and social disturbance.

The Lectures which were delivered by Deputy Corps Commandant Ogidiolu Oludare and Deputy Superintendent of Corps Ajisegbede Seun centred on forensic analysis and investigation as it affect process and processing of exhibits in evidence tendering especially in the law court.

The resource person from FBU Abuja, DSC Olaniregun Jude administered questionnaire and psychological test on the participants to detect the level of their mental stability and preparedness and at the end of the programme, certificate of mental fitness were presented to the participants.

In his remarks, the HOU FBU ASCI Ashimolowo Bashir explained that the importance of the lecture cannot be over emphasized especially this time that the country is facing security challenges and the need to uphold the unity of the country becomes expedient which can only be carried out by officers who are mentally stable.

The Head of Unit also explained that moving out of stress and regulation of social interaction problems can reduce traumatic experience of officers which can assist them to carry out their expected security engagements anytime they are called upon.
