Day 12@BEMOREImo2021: Girls received laptops, taught how to fix Solar home-lightening kits

The joy of the girls participating in the ongoing two weeks BEMORE Summer Bootcamp in Owerri, the Imo State Capital, knows no bounds today, as they received their laptops which they used for creative designs.

With the help of ICT Facilitators from Matrix Lab Technology, the girls were guided to install Adope Illustrator which they used to design documents.

Today’s activities also featured training on how to connect Solar home-lightening kits, a takeaway device with three big bulbs to power their various houses; this is to be given to each of them as a gift from the founder of the Initiative and First Lady of Ondo State, Chief (Mrs) Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, during the closing ceremony coming up Saturday.

As part of their daily routine at the camp, they’ve earlier participated in the Taekwondo and dance trainings, continuation of Arts and Design, use of English; and rounded up the day with rehearsal of songs for presentation at the closing ceremony.
