Rev Ayo-Oladapo emerges Deputy National Board Chairman of NINERELA+

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ondo State Chapter, Rev’d Dr. John Ayo Oladapo, has been elected as the Deputy National Chairman of the Board of Nigeria Network of Religious Leaders Living With or Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS, NINERELA+.

NINERELA+ is an affiliate of the International Network of Religious Leaders Living with or Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS with headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.


Specifically, it is a faith based network organization that seeks to equip communities through right based approach, to promote issues that enable human dignity, well-being and equality as well as equity.

In the election conducted recently at the body’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Dr. Oladapo polled 24 votes against his rival’s 7 votes to emerge as the new National Deputy Board Chairman of the organisation.


Hajia Aisha Usman from Kaduna State was voted in as the National Chairperson of the Board, having scored 29 votes to defeat her challenger, Pastor White who had 7 votes.

Venerable Moses Ogbidikhe from Edo State emerged unopposed as Secretary with 28 votes while Alhaji Salawu from Enugu State became the Assistant Secretary. He polled 20 votes to beat his closest rival who scored 10 votes.

Mrs. Adah Anyahuru from Kano State garnered 27 votes to emerge as the Partnership and Internal Relationally Officer of the organisation.

NINERELA+ has offices across the 36 states of Nigeria and Abuja with a large network of trained religious leaders who are continually engaged in reaching people, particularly the undeserved populations.
