June 12: Ondo NSCDC beef up security, deploys massively

The Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command has been deployed massively for Provision of adequate Security before, during and after the Democracy day.

This was contained in a Statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSC OLUFEMI OMOLE on Friday 11th June, 2021.

While briefing the Officers and men, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command; Commandant Eweka Edenabu Douglas said the Command will not tolerate any act of Violence, break down of law and order, distruption of public peace and Vandalism of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the State.


Commandant Douglas said all Divisional Officers had been given a Matching Order to Safeguard all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in their terrain; the Command Quick Response Squad is readily available while Officers drawn from the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), Intelligence and Investigation Department, Agro Rangers Squad, Anti-Human Trafficking, Irregular Migration and Gender Unit amongst others have been given specific directives on forestalling any act that is inimical to the cooperate existence and peace of the good people of Ondo State.

While charging the Personnel to be very Professional in dealing with the Civil populace, the Command helmsman further advised Parents and Guardians to restrict their children from being used as Instruments of distruption of peace.

He said any one arrested in the course of Violent protests or caught Vandalizing Public or Private Facilities would face the full wrath of the law.

Commandant Douglas however reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strong collaborations with Sister Agencies in Combating all forms of Criminality in Ondo State. He wished the good people of the State a Happy Democracy Day.
