FEDPOLEL holds 3rd Foundation day lecture



The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State will hold its 3rd Foundation Day Lecture on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 on the theme :” Nigerian Polytechnics And The Challenge Of Relevance In The Post Covid-19 World” .

The visiting guest lecturer is Professor Michael Oladimeji Faborode, a renowned Professor of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering and a former Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.


The lecture presentation will hold at the Polytechnic’s Twin Auditorium by 10:00 a.m. and it is expected to be graced by the Executive Governor of Ondo State,His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, Top Government Functionaries, Royal Fathers, Heads of Tertiary Institutions as well as Friends of the Polytechnic.


The Polytechnic instituted the Foundation Day Lecture series in year 2017 with a view to promoting sound and credible academic culture through cross-fertilisation of ideas on teething societal issues and proffering of solutions as appropriate.


Earlier, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin, a former Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State delivered the first lecture on May 4, 2017 on : “Building Entrepreneurial and Self-reliant Graduates Through Technical and _Vocational_Education” While the current Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo, Osun State , Professor Labo Poopola, presented the second lecture on May 4, 2018 on the topic : “Building a Corrupt-free Nation :The Roles of the Academia”.


With the academic pedigree of Professor Faborode, the third lecture series promises to be more informative, educative and worthwhile.

All invited guests and members of the Polytechnic Community are requested to be seated at the venue by 9:45 a.m preparatory to the lecture presentation.
