a Member of the Ifon Development Union (IDU), and Social Secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN), Prince Adebayo Orogun has been shot dead in the midnight of yesterday at Ifon the Ose Local government area of Ondo State by an unknown assailant.

Information from Ifon says the deceased was the Special Assistant, New Media to the Caretaker Chairman of Ose Local Government, Dr. Anthony Modupe.

According to the reports that was gathered from some eye witnesses, the unknown assailants struck at about 3:00 am today after gaining entrance into his house through his kitchen window upon the removal of the burglary proof.

Briefing JATS Online News, a member of IDU, Comrade ‘Bode Alegbe said that the gunmen “banged into his bedroom and wasted no time to fire a shot at him immediately.

“Our brother, Mr. Adebayo Emmanuel Orogun, died on the spot. The gunmen thereafter ransacked his home and went away with their mobile phones and all the available cash at home.
Our town has lost a very responsible and hardworking individual who was unrepentantly committed towards the progress and development of our dear homeland”.

The deceased was said to be a 45 year old family man.
