Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Donald Ojogo has told management and staff of the ministry to see him as colleague in the pen profession.

Ojogo stated this during the ministry’s monthly prayer meeting organised by the management of the ministry to usher in the new month.

The Information and Orientation Commissioner stressed that every staff of the ministry should see the ministry as newsroom, where everybody is equal and working hard to ensure that production of news bulletins succeed.

He added that information is power and people of the state must be updated with adequate information about activities of the government day in, day out, noting that the core mandate of the ministry is ensuring robust media coverage of the state government programmes,hence all must adhere strictly.

The state image maker urged staff of the ministry to be free to discuss issues with him saying his door is open always.

He, therefore, solicited the support of members of the ministry to achieve the desired goals.

Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Steve Awosika appreciated the Commissioner for exhibiting quality leadership skills.

He added that his deployment to the ministry would bring positive impact to the present government in the state, because of his wealth of experience in journalism.

Mr. Awosika assured the commissioner that the ministry has qualified and competent hands that would make his work easier as the political head.

The PS promised the readiness and support of all in achieving the mandate of the government on information managemet,processing and packaging.
