Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas, the Olukare of Ikare Akoko, Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh IV has called for the provision of security vote for traditional rulers in the country.

Oba Momoh made this call during an interview in his palace at Ikare Akoko.
The monarch posited that being the custodian of traditional authority in their domains, traditional rulers are in the best position to monitor security situation in their areas.
According to him, monarchs have absolute knowledge of their areas and how to properly safe-guard the place.
The Olukare posited that with a good security, monarchs can do the needful in the area of provision of safety and security for lives and property of residents in their communities.
On measures taken so far to check the rising cases of security challenges in Ondo State, Oba Momoh said traditional rulers in the Sunshine State are leaving no stone unturned as they do hold regular meetings to find solution to the problem.
Meanwhile, the monarch has commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the measures he is taking towards ensuring that lives and property in the state are safe.
