The Ondo State Chairman of All Progressive Congress party, Engineer Ade Adetimehin has emphasised the need for continuity in the state to enhance sustainable development pace.

Adetimehin who noted that government is continum, however lamented the system whereby politicians place their self interest above Public interest and abandon the projects of the previous government due to political party differences, hence the need to allow APC to continue ruling the state for stable development.

The APC boss said this during an interactive session with members of the New media association in his office on Wednesday.
“We must allow continuity to reign, government is continuous but the people playing the game don’t believe in it, they believe in what they can do to benefit their selfish interest, but the corporate interest is bigger than the individual’s interest, it will pay this state if APC continue to lead
” When I was talking about continuity, I really mean party continuity because continuity in Lagos help the state to develop, let’s the same party still be there in Ondo”, he said.

According to him, the party remains one family in the state and appealed to members of the pen profession not to escalate internal conflict but to co-operate with the party for the betterment of the citizenry.

He admonished party members to collaborate and draw more benefits to the state rather than engaging in war war system.

Adetimehin who emphasised the need for peaceful coexistence in the state, advocates jaw jaw approach to settle both internal and external crisis, and expressed displeasure in pulling down syndrome.

He highlighted some laudable developmental projects executed by the current administration within two years in office, especially roads and industrialization, noting that if these projects are successfully implemented, the state will seized to be a civil service one.

According to him, “Ondo is the only one that is lagging behind, in the days of our forefathers we are number one in terms of federal appointment, but we are nowhere to be found, even the last administration that’s going, we got the Niger Delta Minister for state, and about six topmost ministries came to the southwest. So why are we fighting ourselves, the most ideal thing is to collaborate and move the state forward.”
