The lifeless body of the woman

The lifeless body of the woman was dumped at the bush which is less than 100 kilometres to her house.

Residents were said to have woke to discover the naked corpse of Iya-Dunsi at Odiolowo area of Arigidi Akoko, with rope on one of her legs.

According to the SunshineTruth, hundred of the residents who were at the scene expressed concern over the resurface of ritual killings which were rampant late last year in Akokoland.

Although no arrest has been made but Ondo State police command confirmed the incident through the Akoko North west Divisional Police Officer, SP Ibitayo Adetanranmi who assured that the perpetrators would be fished out as soon as possible.

The Ikare area Commander, ACP Razak Rauf who also spoke, disclosed that the suspected ritualists would not be given chance under his command.

It will be recalled that three similar cases happened late last year at Ikare Akoko involving women with their private parts and breasts removed while another an 8year-old pupil of Saint George’s Anglican Primary school, Okeagbe-Akoko was also murdered in a ritual manner.

Some residents who spoke with SunshineTruth called for the overhauling of security operatives in Akokoland as increasing rate of insecurity had become unbearable.

They called for redeployment of security Heads in the area due to incessant cases of armed robberies, kidnappings and ritual killings without concrete efforts to put such ugly trend under check
